This was one of the first large sculptures I ever built, barely possible to move on my own. Supposed to depict this popular deity in the throngs of a wine-laden dance, the head is ressurected from a full-sized crucified sculpture of Jesus Christ which tipped over in the wind on Easter in 1997. Laden with puns and truly massive to behold, this piece was a rough-study for sculptures that would follow.
