Rimmed in arms and legs, the banner text, like the rest of the piece, is joined using black and white plastic fasteners. Two holes were drilled for each junction, and most elements have an average of 3 connection points. The choice of black and white is a deliberate reference to the "us vs. them" mentality that any war expects of its participants. Each drilled hole leaves a visible mark which, when areas need to be reversed or reworked, remains like a bullet-hole, documenting the creation process.
